INCOGNITO

Incognito is the newest design to the growing decclo line. This design was inspired by, well, interesting street people everywhere.

Have you ever wondered who the people are behind these somewhat hairy masks and at times roughened faces? This shirt gives a shout out to all the street people around the world.

With a one color print, simplicity in design really works and INCOGNITO displays this well.

So check it out soon...

New Design for November

The newest design that is headed to print is called "Water Tower." This design is a simple 2-color print. For anyone who has lived in the middle of nowhere or in small towns, this one is for you.

Here is the inspiration behind Water Tower as detailed by Laura, the designer:
Water Tower:

To me the Water Tower is an American icon. They're instantly recognizable as they boldly greet and introduce themselves as we come and go through their territory. In my opinion they tell us a great deal about the town they guard, just like how you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear - have you seen Salem, OR's water tower?

This one is near and dear to my heart. It's a picture I took one snowy day of the local landmark in the first place I ever called "home" on this side of the Atlantic. There was something extremely comforting about seeing the big blue and white giant on top of the hill when there was still a good 10 minutes to drive even to get into town. Home.

I'm pretty excited to see it shown some respect.

Rockstar Red?

Laura Adams, who recently joined the Decclo team, submitted a number of artistic designs months ago. We haven't posted them due to the website construction however, that will soon come to fruition.

One specific design was inspired by a really interesting blog filled with simple, artistic photography of a young couple and their life together. They were recently featured in "The Washingtonian." Here is an excerpt from an interview on June 10th of this year:

Today, her blog reaches a surprisingly robust audience of readers from the United States to Asia—everyone from high-school students to grandparents, marrieds to singles, artists to businesspeople. Naomi describes her blog as a personal journal: “It documents our lives, adventures, and the little things we love in life.” So why does she think it’s so popular? “Our focus on young love and a healthy marriage, which isn't so ideal in today’s world,” she says.

Naomi and her blog inspired Laura Adams to create the design you see above. It's called, "Rockstar Red." We expect this specific design to rank well once the site is fixed and launched.

So keep "Rockstar Diaries" and Laura Adams in your cross hairs. Both the Rockstar Diaries and Laura Adams hold true to the Decclo sense of style, attitude and outlook on life.

Remember, for the people, by the people!

Thanks Rockstar Diaries and Laura Adams for your inspiration and design genius.

Wholesale to Retail

Just a quick note:

The past few weeks, things have been coming together
...well sort of...

We did experience a few hiccups in with the site and the programming however our trusted developers found a way to overcome the challenge and now we are back and moving. This will delay the process and probably push us out another week or so. We should be online soon and making magic happen.

Keeping with our core values as a company, we have decided to go RETAIL!!! We will not have a retail store as of yet however in addition to our upcoming website, we are selling the Decclo and Project Karma brands in stores coming this fall and winter. This is a ground breaking announcement for all of you designers and consumers of the best product in the world.

You might be asking what this means for you as designers and consumers. Well let me expound. Designers, this gives you more potential to make mucho cash by simply winning one of our design contests. In addition to the lump sum $300.00 and $1 royalty for every full price sale online, you will now receive $.50 for every wholesale purchase. Don't follow me??? check out the Decclo scenario below:

Scenario: A big box retailer likes your style, decides to purchase ohhh... 3000 pieces of your design. You will in-turn make a glorious $1500 and the satisfaction that people around the world are able to wear your genius design. Now what if 10 big retailers like your scene?
$1500 x 10 =$15,000.

Consumers: This means if your Internet connection fails in the heat of the purchase and you are near a retailer that rocks the Decclo gear, you can purchase from your local retailers.

Now I will add a disclaimer - We will only be launching our wholesale program in select Seattle and Western Washington locations. As we ramp up production, we will start to expand into other markets...and then take over the world...that's probably not realistic but you get the idea.
